December 2011 – GoLO HoHoHo

Hi all.  I’m continuing to crank out interviews and articles on local businesses for GoLOJax.com which promotes shopping local businesses and not only big box stores.  Back to the Future with Vintage Fashions (highlighting the Clothing Warehouse) and “Tis the Season for One of Each Gifts in Five Points were both published on Dec. 19, 2011–just in time for the holidays.  Check out the articles and the stores to help keep our community vital and quirky.  Also working on a sample rewrite of Deadly Sacrifices for a NYC agent–keep your fingers crossed for me.  Enjoy the holidays.

November Has Flown By….

Hi all.  It’s been a very busy November with book revisions, agent interest and www.golojax local articles and interviews.  My mystery, Deadly Sacrifices, is under agent review and the literary agent likes it a lot and has asked for a few revisions before it can be circulated to publishers.  It’s been great to interact with an agent about my writing.  I’m also finishing up revisions to my manuscript for The Bridles of Poseidon and have begun sending out query letters to sci-fi/fantasy literary agents.  I’ll be talking more about writing when First Coast Novel Critique meets this Sunday at the South Mandarin Public Library to address a peer’s mystery manuscript.  My publication of my mythical mystery story, Clair de Lune, was noted in The Docket section of the quarterly newsletter for Sisters in Crime.  Last but not least, I’ve been continuing to interview and write about local events and businesses for www.golojax.com.  My article, Subculture, Where Fashion Meets Fun at Five Points, was published Nov. 30.  Check it out!

August is Heating Up!

Hey everyone.  It’s been a busy August for me with three articles published on www.golojax.com: On the “Cutting Edge” in 5 Points (Aug. 1, 2011), It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane…It’s Superheroes (Aug. 22, 2011); and, Spice Up Your Life at Green Man Gourmet (Aug. 29, 2011).  My draft novel, The Bridles of Poseidon, an undersea fantasy/paranormal adventure is also under review this month with the quarterly First Coast Novel Critique at the South Mandarin Public Library.  And my classes started, too–whew!  Wish me well in the critique phase of my novel.
